Core Values of the American Patriot Council

  1. The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
    1. We respect everyone’s rights.
    2. We advocate that all Americans deserve the same, equal treatment and justice.
    3. We seek to hold our leaders accountable.
  2. We affirm the value of all humans no matter their age, race, religion, nationality, etc.
    1. America’s first document as a new nation, The Declaration of Independence, states that we are all “created equal” and endowed by our Creator “with certain unalienable Rights.
    2. The United States was established to secure our inalienable, God-given rights.
  3. Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people.
    1. We condemn acts of violence, especially to achieve political gain.
    2. We do not tolerate lawless behavior or illegal actions.
  4. Nonviolence seeks to win friendship and understanding.
    1. We seek to educate others by our words and actions.
    2. The end result of nonviolence is redemption and reconciliation.
  5. Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
    1. Freedom is not passed to our children unless we do so intentionally.
    2. Freedom must be fought for, protected, and handed on for our children to do the same.

We seek to reflect the leadership and patriotism of leaders such as our Founding Fathers, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., Jesus Christ, and others who came before us seeking to free people from physical, mental, and spiritual bondage.

We live in a nation of laws. The American Patriot Council advocates for the just enforcement of the law for all people in our great nation, especially those in positions of authority. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Law-abiding citizens with worldviews contrary to our own may be our adversaries, but never our enemies. We seek to effect change by intellectual discussion, organizing, and calls for justice; never violence.
